At one of the place I stopped while garage sale hunting, there was this old pop up tent trailer. It wasn't for sale though. I snuck a picture of it, as I thought my bloggers would like it!
Today's mobile homes are so big and extravagant! Whatever happened to the little tin box? Or the canvas pop up tent trailer? They sure are rare in good ol Alberta, but I bet you can still see them roaming the interstates of southern America.
I love how kitch these trailers were/are. The mobile parks and homes decorated with bright pink flamingos, white picketed fence, patriotic flags perhaps, and a cute couple wearing there bathing suits drinking beer.
Here are some other mobile homes I came across on the Internet. Now, more than ever, I want a vintage mobile home to call my own!
I found this blog post, which is also about the oh so lovley vinatge mobile home. Check it out.
So, I'm pretty sure that the trailer my family had growing up was exactly like the white one with the robin's egg blue stripes, right above the tin one with the tin Christmas tree.
